Cluthe 675
I think this is for setting nails?

  1. I have one of those!
The flattened sides to the handle should be a useful clue.
I was thinking it is for picture framing.
Insert a headless brad and drive it into the frame edge to secure the glass.
But doesn't seem to work - maybe the frame needs to be really soft wood.

  2. you are almost right it is used to put planking and decking on model ships. It works well because they are made of soft wood usually Balsa.

  3. I'm a teacher and really love this tool to hang poster and such on the walls (drywall). I use tiny size 8 - 12mm sequin pins.

  4. Does anyone know where these can be purchased from? One of our bee club members uses one for nailing and wiring frames and after a demo today we all want one!
